SULE
EXPERIENCE EXPERT

“Being goal-oriented is what keeps me going, working towards something. The idea of finishing my studies, a job as a psychologist at the TBS clinic (the Dutch Forensic Psychiatric Center), an apartment with many plants, an aquarium, and beautiful lighting waiting for my return home."

“Everyone is fighting their own demons, and they will always be with everyone in one way or another. For some, they are clearly visible to them, right on the ground. For others, they are just far away, hidden in the dark. You try to keep this heaviness under control – you will not let it get to you. But that is often easier said than done. Every character requires a different approach and the bad thing about it takes time to get the right one on you.

Being goal-oriented is what keeps me going, working towards something. The idea of finishing my studies, a job as a psychologist at the TBS clinic (the Dutch Forensic Psychiatric Center), an apartment with many plants, an aquarium, and beautiful lighting waiting for my return home. That image is my little dot out on the horizon and the reason I manage to keep my demons at bay these days. This approach fits me like a glove. I wouldn’t want to lose it anymore. But it will always be tricky.|

HOW IS SULE
CURRENTLY DOING?

The photos and film recordings were made during the period when Sule was still homeless. At the time of the interview, Sule had just started her studies in applied psychology.

Sule would like to work in a TBS clinic. She thinks a lot of people ended up in the clinic because no one ever really listened to them. This caused them to harden up.  She wants to make a change for these people.

Sule is also part of the Dr. Streetwise team.
